Amita Menon, DIRECTOR, AM STUDY ABROAD, most fondly displays her passion for Education and very proudly is in complete awe of her “Teacher” Parents’ virtuous nurturing which has led her to excel not only in her growing years of studies but also in upgradations & elevations through her professional career as a Computer Programmer & Manager in Systems Operations in a leading Nationalized Bank.
After completing her Masters in Commerce & Diploma in Computer Management from Mumbai University, she joined Bank. Her keen interest in Computers, the most promising development of modern era technology in Banking Systems, earned her challenging opportunities to be promoted in the managerial ladder as a Computer Programmer. She was working on UNIX OS and as such, she equipped herself with other worthy certification courses like ORACLE (9i), RDBMS Systems, SQL Programming, Shell Programming, C++, CCNA etc. during her professional career.
“Education runs in my blood” as she says, and this inner quest towards education pushed her to quit the services from a noticeable position in a banking career of 33 years which took her nowhere but exactly where she should be & where she wanted to be.
As her passion goes, she left her Banking Job and started her own venture of Consultancy for Overseas Education, AM STUDY ABROAD. Having both her sons settled in the USA since a decade, she was well aware of foreign education system. She completely realized confusions and anxieties the students, aspirants & families were going through. As there were many misconceptions about the country, cost & course, the reluctance and hesitation were more prevalent in society, especially amongst meritorious but average and middle income groups although these aspiring students had enough potential to study and shine.
Amita Menon strongly believes that every student has the Right to Dream and she had this clear vision of elevating the education and lifestyles of those who had potential. She took special attention to assist such aspirants with caliber and decided to make them aware with genuine information & insights.
